  • 01 Where is pvs located ?

    PVs is located in Dharamshala in the northern state of ( Himachal Pradesh ) INDIA.
  • 02. What Kind of Accommodation will be provided ?

    We have our large volunteer house in Dharamshala. Our accommodation is basic but clean. Room’s capacity is four people provided with bunk beds. All Rooms have attached or non attached bathrooms with toilet. All have running cold shower and hot shower in winter season.
  • 03. What Facilities are Available at the Volunteer House

    In our volunteer house, volunteers have access to  computers with broadband, a sky TV with English and Hindi channels. A film library and a book library. We have water purification facilities on site that volunteers can use to fill their water bottles and supply of toilet papers. Volunteers are responsible for the cost of their own  Phone call charges.   
  • 04. What kind of Food is Served at volunteers house

    All meals(Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) within the accommodation are freshly prepared by our house chef we provide meals that are native to the region of India in our volunteer house. It includes north Indian curries and traditional Himachali food. This more often will be vegetarian. Non veg is prepared only by the special demand and it will charge extra amount.    
  • 05. What if I have Some Food Related Allergies

    While volunteering with us, you can mention your food related allergies and it will be kept in mind while preparing the food.   
  • 06. Is there an Option to opt a single Room

    This facility is only provided by us for  couples they  can make there request for a single room. Upon availability this may be arranged with a small extra charge.
  • 07. What is the Dress Code

    India is a very diverse country with cultural and weather fluctuations. It is good to wear decent and comfortable clothes. It not only protects from the extremes of weather, but also protects you from mosquitoes. It is also suggested for the Volunteers (specially female volunteers ) not to wear exposing clothes, as it is not preferred in Indian culture. While going to project sites it is highly recommended that all our participants wear long trousers or pants and round neck t-shirts or shirts which will help you gain lots of respect in the communities we work.We also arranged Indian Traditional clothes for our female volunteers( SALWAR KAMEEZ) that will cost extra small charges.    
  • 08. Pick-up & Drop-off

    At the start of the project we will collect volunteers from the following airport and take them to the project site and at the end of the project we drop them at the following airport according their inclusions.Delhi To Dharamshala
  • 09. What Do I Bring

    We do not provide any toiletries or towels; hence along with your clothes do bring the same. In case of extra requirements, they can be purchased from nearby markets. First-aid is available in the volunteer house; however any specific medication should be brought along with proper prescription. Bring clothes according to the local weather conditions of the project area. Sleeping bag or sleeping sheet according the weather. Suns cream, mosquito repellent, headlight or a torch, water bottle, raincoat or umbrella in monsoon season etc.      
  • 10. Should I Fund Raise Before Coming

    While fundraising is not mandatory, our projects are always in need of resources. If you are able to raise funds, we would be very happy to work with you on making the decision how to best help spend them for our projects.
